Story

Her Side
We both belong to this organization called Umu Igbo Unite (UIU), and they have yearly conventions in different states. Unofficially we met in Annapolis in 2011, where our best friends Amaka and Obi became friends, but we were oblivious of each other, although there are pictures where we can be seen sitting very close to each other.
Two years later Ifeanyi, Obi, Amaka, and I venture to the UIU convention in Dallas. This time Ifeanyi noticed me and approached me, introducing himself. I wasn't really looking for love at the time, but I replied nicely to his introduction and continued about my merry way. Again, since I was not interested in meeting anyone, I tucked his name away somewhere in my subconscious.
The following morning, a bunch of people went to the gym in the morning. Some were working out while others were pretending to work out (ahem...), and Ifeanyi and I met again. I remembered him from the previous night, but could not remember his name to save my life. He approached me again asking how I was and if i remembered his name. I told him his name escaped me, and oddly enough without his next words we may not be where we are today. He calmly said with the confidence of a million lions, "My name is Ifeanyi, and don't forget it." It appears as though he knew what he wanted, and I was just being informed of the inevitable.
Later on that day, we met again, and he made me promise not to forget to get a picture with him before the convention was over. At the gala night portion of the convention, I guess you can say I was feeling myself, so I wanted to be sure to get all my pictures in while I still looked fresh. So, I looked for him, found him and made good on my promise to get a picture with him. The picture on this page is the picture from that night, our very first picture together. At the conclusion of the event, we found a nice quiet area and talked the rest of the night about family, religion, and all the important things that create a foundation for a relationship. I think we both felt that night but weren't certain that we had just made a lifelong bond. Two and a half years later, we have not missed a day of speaking or seeing each other. We could be poster children for Facetime. :)
His Side
How we met from my perspective (what really happened), We were at a Umu Igbo conference in Dallas in 2013, I went with Obinna Abara. There was a mixer the night we got in, I met Chi Chi for a second, I said Hi and introduced myself, I later saw her at various period during the night but we did not speak.
The next day I went to the gym with Obinna and I saw Chi Chi walk in with another guy to work out, when I noticed she was alone, I approached her and asked if she remembered me from the other night, she gave me a blank look and said no, so I said “my name is Ifeanyi, remember that!” and walked away.
Later during the dinner event, I asked her to take a picture with me, she said okay and disappeared, sometime in the evening she found me and asked for the picture together and we ended up talking all night long by the pool till the morning when I had to fly out.
